ANATOMY OF A SEARCH

## A results page has four territories

When someone searches for what you sell, the screen gets carved up. SEO works on three of the four blocks; ads are paid for separately. Knowing which is which keeps you from paying twice for the same click.

A real example

The Spanish-language query isn queretaro 2026 (ISN is the state payroll tax) brought Grupo CerVel 9 clicks and 731 impressions in 3 months, at an average position of 4.89\. Without spending a single peso on ads.

THE MONTHLY REPORT

## This is exactly what you get every month

Seven blocks, one page, in plain English (or Spanish, if you prefer). The one below is for Grupo CerVel, an accounting and tax firm in Querétaro, with data through 31 August 2026; its page paths are in Spanish.

No comparison with July: GA4 measurement changed on 3 August, when the site switched to opt-out consent (Mexican privacy law allows tacit consent for non-sensitive data). The four KPIs above come from Search Console and are comparable.

02 · EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

August closes at 1,018 clicks, two and a half times July (+145.9%), and this time the growth is healthy: impressions rise +125.6% —less than clicks—, CTR recovers to 0.90% and the average position improves from 7.53 to 7.06. The month is driven by /blog/renovacion-e-firma-sat-2026, which goes from 67 to 175 clicks (+161%), and the two calculators (Mexico’s INPC consumer price index and the inflation adjustment factor) come in from zero: /herramientas/tabla-inpc with 119 clicks and /herramientas/factor-de-actualizacion with 96\. Behind them, new blog posts start to show —/blog/manual-politicas-pld +700% and /blog/pagos-provisionales-sat-personas-morales +533%—, still with small numbers. What isn’t keeping up: /servicios/auditoria drops −69.2% (from 13 to 4 clicks), and the Google Business Profile moves against the trend: search views up +13.8%, but calls down −8.0% and direction requests down −23.3%. A note on measurement: opt-out consent went live on 3 August, so GA4 figures aren’t comparable with July; Search Console figures don’t depend on consent and do reflect the real change.

+13.8%

vs. previous month

Opt-out consent went live on 3 August: GA4 is measuring almost every visitor again, so August is a transition month and September will be the first truly comparable one. With traffic multiplying, contacts aren’t keeping pace —2 forms and 1 meeting, a 0.17% rate— and that is what needs work. The WhatsApp event is still missing, and the Google Business Profile is read separately: more views, fewer calls.

07 · RECOMMENDED ACTIONS

!

Diagnose and strengthen /servicios/auditoria: clicks drop −69.2% (from 13 to 4) in the month everything else goes up. Check whether it lost position, whether there is a canonicalization problem or whether the content needs updating.

HIGH IMPACT

!

Review the contact form: with traffic up 2.5×, submissions fall from 4 to 2 (−50%). Check the endpoint in production and make sure no JavaScript error is blocking submissions before taking the number at face value.

HIGH IMPACT

3

Build on the momentum of /blog/manual-politicas-pld (+700%) and /blog/pagos-provisionales-sat-personas-morales (+533%) with internal links to the service pages, so informational traffic reaches an offer.

MEDIUM IMPACT

✓

Done on 3 August: opt-out consent deployed. GA4 is measuring almost every visitor again; August is a transition month and September will be the first comparable one. Baseline on record: 0.17% conversion rate.

## The monthly cycle

Same order every month. No surprises, no months where you don’t know what happened.

01

Measure

Search Console, GA4 and PageSpeed, all on the same date range.

02

Report

The document above and, from the Full plan up, a monthly call to go through it.

03

Action plan

Three tasks ranked by impact, each with the number that justifies it.

04

Execute

Content, technical work and links. We do the work; you approve it.

05

Measure again

Next month is compared against this one, not against a promise.

## What we don’t do

No vanity metrics

If a number doesn’t change a decision, it stays out of the report. No “total impressions” without context.

No “#1 on Google” promises

Nobody controls the rankings. We work on what can be controlled: content, speed, structure and links.

No reports nobody understands

Seven blocks, one page, in plain English (or Spanish, if you prefer). Every figure says where it comes from and which period it covers.
