Migrating off WordPress without losing SEO: more than double the clicks year over year
Environmental, health and safety (EHS) consultancy in Querétaro, Mexico. We moved them from WordPress to a new Astro site without losing the SEO they had earned.

Moving off WordPress without losing SEO
Congenius is a B2B environmental, health and safety (EHS) consultancy in Querétaro. Their site ran on WordPress and they were already working with another provider. The risk in any migration is losing the SEO you have earned: rankings, traffic and indexed URLs. That was the fear, and the challenge.
Audit, plan and 301 redirects
Before touching anything, we ran a full audit and sent them a report with the technical errors, the broken URLs and the structure and keyword improvements. With that we drew up a migration plan and a 301 redirect map so that not a single URL would be lost.
At the end of May we moved them to a new Astro + Netlify site, with landing pages per service and per course, structured data (Schema) and a broad catalog of training courses optimized for what their industrial clients actually search for.

More than double the clicks of a year ago
The migration went through without losing SEO, and three months later the year-over-year comparison is clear-cut: from June to August 2026 the site earned 3,201 clicks and 298,526 impressions, versus 1,434 clicks and 81,572 impressions in the same period of 2025. That is 2.2× the clicks, 3.7× the impressions and an average position going from 13.6 to 7.6.
August was the best month in the site’s history: 1,694 clicks, versus 929 in July and 575 in August 2025. The post on the joint training committee (a workplace committee required by Mexican labor law), which went from 2 to 100 clicks right after the migration, is still the most-read page, with 342 clicks in the period. And September opens with 453 clicks in its first four days.
On performance, the site scores 100/100 on desktop PageSpeed with a 0.9 s LCP. The data comes from the client’s own Google Search Console. Migrating well is not a matter of luck: it is audit, plan and redirects.

“Without having worked with them before, they ran a full audit of my website and sent me a detailed report with technical errors, broken URLs and improvements to structure and keywords. I already had the service contracted with another provider, but I gave them a chance and it was an excellent decision. They completely redesigned the website: far more professional and optimized. In just one month they increased traffic and grew our leads. And their monthly service is cheaper than the previous one. I highly recommend them for their professionalism and real results.”
